Be Part Miami 2012
Be Part Miami, an art auction fundraiser for The Bambi Homes Colombia, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 25th at the Moore Building in Miami's Design District. The Auction will feature an exclusive selection of art work (paintings, drawing, photography and sculptures) by Colombian artists.
The selection includes pieces by established artists such as: Manuel Hernández, Hugo Zapata, Luis Fernando Peláez, Ana Mercedes Hoyos, Fanny Sanín, Carlos Jacanamijoy, Sara Modiano, John Castles, and María de la Paz Jaramillo, whose works form part of the history of art in Colombia.
Other pieces were chosen from an intermediate, more technically varied generation of artists like Danilo Dueñas, Juan Fernando Herrán, Ana María Rueda, Carlos Blanco, Carlos Salas, Pedro Ruiz, Federico Uribe, Jaime Franco, Luis Luna, Lina Espinosa, María Fernanda Cardoso, Fernando Uhía, Guillermo Londoño, Francisco Mejía-Guinand, Mónica Meira, Nancy Friedemann and Jaime Ávila, each with his or her own solid, structured vision.
Finally, works from a younger generation were included to provide a glimpse of the power and intensity of new tendencies apparent in pieces by artists such as Natalia Castañeda, Esteban Peña, Nicolás Cárdenas, Nohemí Pérez, Máximo Flórez, Diana Drews, Catalina Ortiz, Claudia Hakim, Saúl Sánchez, María Isabel Rueda, Jaime Tarazona, Max Steven Grossmann and Miler Lagos.
